At PT Thoroughbreds, we retain a keen interest in all of our home-breds regardless of who ultimately owns and races the horses.
In terms of homebred success, leaving out the 4 2020 2YOs that are yet to trial, PT Thoroughbreds has bred 9 to race for 5 winners accumulating 14 wins and $350,000 between them (and all of those winners save for the retired Is Don Is Good are still running) and 3 others that placed on multiple ocassions. A 55% winners to runners ratio and a very pleasing runners to placingsratio of 88%.
We also keep a very close eye on any horse remotely related to either mares and/or foals we own or any racehorses we may, on the odd occasion happen to buy into. As an example, Showdra (Showtime x Phaedra - unraced 2YO filly with Lee Freedman) in which PT Racing took 10%, has some smart siblings in the shape of Dzsenifer (subsequently Group 3 and Listed placed in QLD), Invincible Missile (HK winner again under James McDonald in the HKJC Longines International Jockeys H) and Allgreektome under the guidance of David Hayes breaking its maiden in HK.
